"If you love someone, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours."

It has been said that old love never really dies and that old flames still smolder, especially when they're early loves. Well, for Yasmine and George that statement remains true.

Yasmine + George met in their senior year of school at Ashley Ridge High School in 2011. The two clicked instantly after being set up by a couple of friends. After their high school graduation Yasmine left for college and George joined the Coast Guard. Unfortunately, they failed miserably at trying to maintain a long distance relationship and decided to part ways, but they still remained friends. A few years later the two connected again while in Charleston and after that first date they picked up where they left off and here they are today...GETTING MARRIED!

How did the proposal take place?
George and Yasmine ventured out to California for George grandmother's 80th birthday celebration and family reunion. He popped the question in front of his entire family during family pictures! Of course she said, "YES!" Yasmine, recalls the who ordeal as, "It was a BIG surprise and beautiful proposal!"
Now, flash forward to exactly one year later and the two are getting married on the one year anniversary of their proposal...June 25, 2017!

When I first meet with my couples I ask them a series of questions to get to know them better and capture their love authentically. Below are a few questions I asked Yasmine + George and I loved what they had to say about one another! See below!
What's your favorite thing about your fiancé?
"I love the way he looks at me, his eyes, and how patient George is with me. I also LOVE his sense of humor. He is so funny. We both like to laugh and joke around."

What are you looking forward to when it comes to your wedding day?
"I'm looking forward to seeing his face when he sees me walking down the isle in my wedding dress for the first time."
"We are both excited to share our love story with our family and friends!"

I had a blast capturing these two during their engagement session last summer in Newport News, Virginia and I'm looking forward to capturing more of their love story today
at Noah's Event Venue in Chesapeake, VA as they celebrate their union with their family and friends! I can't wait to share a few sneak peeks from their beautiful union! Make sure you are following along on Instagram!
